Your SNP Candidate: Sarah Masson
Sarah Masson will be your SNP candidate for the Scottish General Election on 6 May 2021.
Sarah is from Aberdeen and went to Hazlehead Academy before moving to Edinburgh to study Drama and Performance at Queen Margaret University.
She started her career in theatre with David Greig’s Two Minute Manifesto and has went on to be Assistant Director on Wendy and Peter Pan by Ella Hickson (at the Royal Lyceum Theatre), Director of Arrivals (at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe) and The Riding of the Marches Pageant by Rory Edgington (at the Brunton Theatre) – amongst many things. Sarah has also been the creative producer on Pride Plays (Scotland’s first ever LGBTI+ playwright festival) at the Traverse Theatre and sits on the Committee for Theatre Directors Scotland.
She has also worked for parliamentarians – Ben Macpherson MSP and Christian Allard MEP in Edinburgh – and now runs the office of Gordon MacDonald MSP.
Sarah is an experienced and passionate campaigner – having led the national grassroots campaign to Scrap the Two Child Cap / Rape Clause which was, by the Tories own words, “the best marketing campaign they’ve seen”. She has also been heavily involved in the Time for Inclusive Education (TIE) campaign.
Sarah is driven by the desire to ensure that we live in an independent Scotland that is fair, inclusive and ambitious – and to make politics more accessible.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with Sarah at email@example.com.
